Undertaking the study of Latin will give you an in-depth understanding of the Latin language and the Romans, Latin literature, and its impact on Western literature. It will also strengthen and refine your skills in communication, critical thinking, and collaboration. Upon graduation you will be prepared to:
enter careers where close attention to language is important such as writing, publishing and editing, journalism, marketing, library science, documentary research;
teach Latin and classical humanities at the elementary, middle, and secondary school levels, or pursue a degree in Education; and
continue with graduate study in Classics (Greek and Latin), Comparative Literature, History, Classical Archaeology, Ancient Philosophy, Medieval and Renaissance Studies, and related fields.
