Program Overview

The B.A. degree in Spanish offers two concentrations: 1) literature/culture and 2) applied language (Business Spanish and Translating). Each concentration consists of 30 hours of courses in Spanish (9 hours of core courses and 21 hours of emphasis courses), plus a one-hour Senior Seminar (LACS 4690). Students majoring in Spanish are strongly encouraged to take courses in another language at least through the Intermediate level.
