BA Humanities

4 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

Jacksonville University

Program Overview

Drawing upon the various humanistic disciplines, as well as aspects of the fine arts and the social and natural sciences, the Humanities major and minor offer broad and diverse educational experiences. With topics ranging from ancient cultures to modern times and from scientific developments to social concerns, the Humanities program binds together those disciplines and ideas that lie at the heart of a liberal education. By majoring or minoring in Humanities, students discover the best that has been written, thought, and constructed in the Western and non-Western worlds and, in doing so, explore what it means to be a human being.
