Program Overview

The History major affords the student an opportunity to become familiar with the history of Western and World Civilization as well as the history of specialized regions, such as the United States, Europe, Latin America, the Mid-East, Asia and Africa. The large number of elective hours provided in this curriculum permits the student to concentrate on particular historical eras, themes, or regions. The Department of History also participates in several interdepartmental curricula and the Honors Program.
