Program Overview

The B.A. in Medieval Studies is an interdisciplinary program. You will learn from and work with internationally recognized faculty across many university departments such as Art History, Classics, History, Religion, Philosophy and Romance, and Germanic language. As a Medieval Studies major, you ll have the opportunity to learn Middle English as you study The Canterbury Tales, while also studying Italy from the Roman Empire through the Renaissance; explore medieval texts, including biographies and memoirs, to learn about medieval lives while honing your close reading and analytical skills. The B.A. in Medieval Studies offers students a wide-reaching historical perspective, which is vital when considering the challenges of the 21st century.
