The Liberal Studies major is a preprofessional program leading to Multiple Subject or Special Education credential programs. Our mission is to insure that students graduate with a strong subject matter background and necessary experience and content to prepare them for a teaching career in elementary education. The major is approved by The California Commission on Teacher Credentialing as an authorized elementary subject matter program.

For admission to the CSU, graduation from high school and receipt of a high school diploma are admission requirements. At the baccalaureate level, a minimum score of 500 on the paperbased exam or a score of 61 on the internet (TOEFL iBT) version is required on most campuses; ACTSAT Scores.
