The concentration in journalism prepares you to tell stories that change the world! You’ll learn to write and structure news stories for print, broadcast and multimedia platforms. You’ll gain experience seeking facts, finding sources and interviewing. You’ll develop techniques for sharing well-told narratives. You’ll dive into current events, and you’ll examine the legal and ethical considerations journalists weigh when reporting the news.

The journalism concentration provides a pathway into the field of journalism, but this concentration is not only for students who want to report the news! concentrations pursue a variety of fields – conservation, education, technology, filmmaking, medicine, marketing, public safety, publishing, public affairs, national and international politics, law and more.
