As an MCA major, you will commit to rigorous engagement with both hands-on practice and written scholarship in at least two of the following areas: art history, music, screen studies, studio art and theatre arts. The major allows you to engage with histories and theories of media in these areas, while you learn to produce creative works that interrogate these traditions. You'll examine cultural formations created and disseminated on many scales, by individuals as well as media industries, and the ways in which these forms of communication resonate in everyday life, on personal, local, national and global levels
First-year Common Application, Secondary school report: along with an official high school transcript, Teacher evaluation form, SAT/ACT scores, Results from any national examinations (e.g., A levels, GCSE, WASSCE, CBSE, ISCE, CXC, CAPE, etc.), Proof of English proficiency TOEFL iBT (85 or higher overall and 15 or higher on every section), or IELTS (6.5 or higher overall and 6.0 or higher on every section), or SAT Critical Reading, SAT Evidence-Based Reading (600 or higher)and Writing section (650 or higher), ACT Reading section scores (26 or higher).
