Public Relations majors develop professional skills in a framework that emphasizes ethical, responsible communication using the RPIE model (Research, Planning, Implementation, Evaluation). Students gain realworld experience in their PR II: Strategic Planning and Client Relations class or through internships in agencies, corporations, nonprofits or other organizations. Students experiential work is tied to the theories they learn in the classroom, and their professional opportunities allow them to apply their knowledge and share the lessons learned with classmates. Students can graduate with a robust portfolio they can share with prospective employers.
