Biomedical engineering (BME) provides a wellrounded science education to students interested in changing the world of medicine and technology. Biomedical engineers are responsible for such things as tissue engineering, drug delivery devices, prosthetic devices, and medical imaging technology development (such as MRI, CT, Ultrasound and Xray). There are many opportunities for students after graduation. The Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that jobs in the field of BME will grow by 27% by 2022, which is much higher than the average job growth rate of all other fields.
