Program Overview

The Bachelor of Science in Health Psychology provides students with the theoretical background of how psychological, behavioral,cultural, and social factors influence health and wellness. Attention is given to the role of stress and lifestyle choices and how they affect our well-being. Interventions for stress and pain used in the helping professions, hospitals, and community education programs are addressed. The capstone course allows students to integrate prior coursework and further their research in an area of interest. The B.S. degree is granted upon successful completion of the required courses in general education curriculum, major/minor coursework, and electives (40 credits must be in upper-level courses) for a 125 total credits.
