The BS degree program provides professional curricula for students enrolled in the College of Education whose goal is to teach P-12 physical education.The Health and Physical Education Teacher Education (HPETE) program is a professional preparation curriculum for candidates who wish to teach physical education in grades P/K-6, 6-12, or P/K-12 and health education in grades 6-12.

This program area has been structured to enable the students to design an academic curriculum that best reflects his or her individual interests as well as general prerequisites for graduate or professional programs. This degree program has been designed to allow students to fulfill the requirements for entry into graduate programs in several health care professions (e.g., athletic training, physical therapy, physicians assistant, occupational therapy, rehabilitation counseling, etc.).
