The Mercy College bachelor of science degree in nursing is designed for registered nurses who have an associate's degree or who have graduated from a diploma program in nursing, and are planning to return to school for a bachelor's degree. The programs offered are RN-B.S. and RN-B.S.
Good academic standing, All students are encouraged to apply regardless of their GPA as Mercy College does consider other factors in the admissions decision such as extracurricular activities, professional experience and English proficiency, Official academic transcript and/or Foreign Academic Credential Evaluation (for foreign transcripts), Foreign Academic Credential Evaluation (and/or official American transcripts), TOEFL or IELTS Scores, or accepted proof of English language proficiency (if English is not your native language), English Language requirement:TOEFL IBT: 71, IELTS: 6.0, PTE: 48, Copy of current passport, Financial documentation, affidavit of support, proof of income, bank statements, Refund Certificate Form, F-1 Transfer Form, High School GPA of 85, Grade of 80 in all math and science classes taken in 9th-11th grades, Math- three years including algebra, Science- three years including biology and chemistry, ACT or SAT scores required for review, Written personal statement US universities use a holistic admissions review. Beyond grades and standardized test scores, they weigh the strength of your overall profile to understand who you are as a student and a person.
Profile Assessment: Applicants are generally expected to show strong preparation in Biology and Chemistry, with Mathematics or Physics helpful for some programs. Healthcare volunteering, public-health initiatives, scientific research, first-aid training, community service and supervised clinical exposure may demonstrate empathy, responsibility and understanding of healthcare. Requirements differ considerably by program, particularly for direct-entry Nursing, Pharmacy and allied-health degrees.Advanced Placement(AP) Guidance: AP availability depends on the student's school.
