A BS in Nutrition and Dietetics is offered jointly between Thomas Edison State College or the Newark College of Arts and Sciences. The program is designed for those individuals who have earned previous degrees and/or course credits and wish to apply these to the foundational general educational requirements for the Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics.
The Self-Reported Academic Record (SRAR) is required for all current high school seniors, GED Results, Test scores: SAT, ACT, IELTS 6.0, TOEFL 550+ on the paper and pencil test or 79+ on the internet-based test, Letters of Recommendation, Essay, Financial Documentation Necessary for the I-20, International Student Adviser's Report , US universities use a holistic admissions review. Beyond grades and standardized test scores, they weigh the strength of your overall profile to understand who you are as a student and a person.
Profile Assessment: Applicants are generally expected to show strong preparation in Biology and Chemistry, with Mathematics or Physics helpful for some programs. Healthcare volunteering, public-health initiatives, scientific research, first-aid training, community service and supervised clinical exposure may demonstrate empathy, responsibility and understanding of healthcare. Requirements differ considerably by program, particularly for direct-entry Nursing, Pharmacy and allied-health degrees.Advanced Placement(AP) Guidance: AP availability depends on the student's school.
