Program Overview

The undergraduate Physiology major emphasizes the integrated biological functions of the human body ranging from the cellular to the organ system level. Coursework and research participation provide students with opportunities to learn how the body functions and how these functions are affected by stress and disease. The physiology major prepares students to continue their studies, following completion of the BS in Health Sciences degree, in graduate or professional school pursuing a career in fields related to health science, basic research, or health care.
