MSOE’s actuarial science degree teaches you how to manage and even avoid complex risks facing organizations today. You’ll use a combination of advanced mathematics with advanced computer programs, statistics, finance, probability and more.Actuarial science includes a number of interrelated subjects, including probability, mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, financial economics, and computer programming. In the last 30 years the field has undergone dramatic changes thanks to the growth of high-speed computers and software programs. In 2013, job search website CareerCast ranked actuary as the number one job in the United States based on environment, income, hiring outlook, physical demands and stress.
A cumulative 3.0 minimum GPA. Pre-calculus REQUIRED for all majors except nursing and business programs, calculus is preferred. IELTS 6.5 overall with no less than 6.0 in each component. Submit original transcripts of all secondary and post-secondary school academic work. Include a copy of a valid passport.
