Program Overview

This concentration describes a course of study for mathematics majors intending to pursue graduate study in applied mathematics. Mathematics courses are usually delivered in a lecture format. Many courses include recitations that allow students to seek additional explanation of course material and practice their problem solving skills. The Department offers research opportunities for undergraduates including writing honors theses. The undergraduate Teaching Assistants program allows undergraduate students to gain college level teaching experience.
