Economics is a social science that is heavily dependent on mathematical tools. In this program, students will become proficient in both mathematics and economics to gain a better understanding of the economic applications of mathematics. Numerous economics graduates from WKU have expressed the fact that, in hindsight, they should have taken more mathematics courses in order to better prepare themselves for graduate studies in economics and for applied economics positions.
