BS Mathematics

Pursuing a mathematics degree at Lycoming College thoroughly prepares students for a number of occupations that require logical thinking, analytical skills, and effective decision-making. While mathematics can often be abstract, our students have a variety of opportunities to apply classroom concepts in the real world with hands-on experiences like internships, May Term trips, colloquiums, and "Fun Fridays." Fused with Lycoming's traditional liberal arts education and individualized approach to learning, Lycoming's mathematics department produces competitive leaders, critical thinkers, and flexible innovators who go on to work in education, finance, computer science, systems analysis, cryptology, programming, management, and more.
