The Mathematics and Applied Mathematics programs offer an education in problem solving, analytic reasoning, critical thinking, and technical communication. These skills prepare cadets to handle the complex operational, managerial, social, scientific, engineering, and other technical problems that Air Force and Space Force officers encounter on a routine basis. Both majors also provide a superior education that facilitates success in a wide variety of graduate school programs including operations research, physics, engineering, business administration, economics, computer science, law, medicine, meteorology, and, of course, mathematics and applied mathematics.
