Program Overview

This concentration describes a basic theoretical course of study for mathematics majors intending to pursue graduate study in mathematics.Mathematics courses are usually delivered in a lecture format. Many courses include recitations that allow students to seek additional explanation of course material and practice their problem solving skills. The Department of Mathematics is proud of its excellent teaching and active research programs. The undergraduate Teaching Assistants program allows undergraduate students to gain college level teaching experience.
