The program in Mathematics leads to a degree of Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and offers students training in preparation for graduate work, teaching, and positions in government or industry. Mathematical training is integrated with computer use in several courses. Because a strong mathematical background is important in many fields, over half of UMCP Mathematics majors are double majors.
