Program Overview

The parks and recreation management program provides an interdisciplinary education in the management of parks, protected areas and community-based recreation services and special event management. Students learn to integrate the managerial, natural and social sciences to make informed decisions for recreation service delivery. The curriculum combines classroom instruction with field experiences and covers parks and recreation policy, programming, planning, management, communication, inclusive services and history.
