Program Overview

Biology minors will master the basics of biology. Biology majors, once they have mastered the basics, can choose courses that are specific to the scientific field in which they are most interested.This major will prepare you to teach biology to grades 9-12.General Science (5-8) - Recommended endorsement for biology education majors.Science (K-6) - Optional endorsement for elementary education majors.The biology major field test provided by Educational Testing Service must be taken the last semester prior to graduation. The department will announce the date.

A minimum of 50 percent of the major requirements must be Concordia coursework.A minimum GPA of 2.0 in Concordia courses. The nursing department may have additional policies.
