The Department of Biology offers Bachelor degrees in Biology (B.S. and B.A.) with optional Biology Research concentration, as well a minor in Biology. By employing a curriculum that emphasizes scientific inquiry and problem-solving, we aim to develop in you the fundamental skills and knowledge for entering a wide range of careers, including those in medicine, environmental science, research and teaching.

Profile Assessment: Science applicants are generally assessed on the rigour of their Mathematics and laboratory-science coursework. Relevant preparation may include Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Calculus or Statistics, depending on the intended field. Research, science fairs, Olympiads, laboratory exposure, independent investigation and environmental or community-science projects can demonstrate scientific curiosity and analytical thinking.Advanced Placement(AP) Guidance: AP availability depends on the student's school.
