Polymer Chemistry focuses on the production of plastics, synthetic fibers, paints, coatings, adhesives and many other chemical products. This specialization has become an important aspect of the chemical industry, and the majority of chemists will work with polymer chemistry in some capacity during their careers. Millersville University is one of the few universities in Pennsylvania that offers a Bachelor of Science degree with an option in Polymer Chemistry that satisfies the requirements of the American Chemistry Society ACS.
