The B.S. degree in Chemistry prepares students for graduate study and for careers in industry, government or medicine. The program provides training in all five areas of chemistry following the recommendations of the Committee on Professional Training of the American Chemical Society. After completion of the basic cTheses there are numerous choices for advanced electives and the degree is capped off with a research experience. Students learn and work in laboratories equipped with modern instrumentation for hands-on use by students at all levels.
