Chemistry is the study of all matter found in living structures, geological formations and human-created products. Chemists explore the molecular structure of matter in order to develop theories about how such structures work and to apply these theories to the development of products that range from pharmaceuticals to heat shields. The chemistry BS program is designed for students who want a strong core education in chemistry, and have career objectives that may go beyond chemistry itself (e.g., professional schools, forensics and high school teaching).
