Program Overview

The Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry is designed to prepare professional chemists and to provide a solid foundation for those wishing to pursue an advanced degree in chemistry. The curriculum meets the approved requirements for professional training set forth by the American Chemical Society and is fully accredited by the ACS. There is a strong emphasis on training in the major disciplines of chemistry, affording the student both lecture and laboratory experience in analytical, organic, inorganic, physical, computational, and biochemistry. Additionally, B.S. majors will spend at least one semester working on an undergraduate research project with a faculty member of their choice. Our B.S. majors experience first-hand the team-oriented approach needed to excel in the workplace.
