BS Geosciences Area

Learn the knowledge and real-world skills to become a successful Geoscientist. You’ll have numerous hands-on learning opportunities to observe conditions in various ecosystems by conducting local and regional fieldwork and advanced geospatial and resource modeling, with additional opportunities to travel to national and international geological sites. You’ll be ready for careers in industries such as water management, contaminant remediation, environmental monitoring, geologic surveys and 3D modeling (as a GIS Analyst), and natural resource exploration. You’ll also develop valuable skills like speaking, writing, teamwork, critical thinking, and professionalism. Additionally, you can choose to continue your education in graduate school.
