Program Overview

The study of physics incorporates a variety of other disciplines and fields. The USF physics curriculum opens up multiple paths for subsequent development, including graduate studies in science (physics, astronomy, math, chemistry, biology, etc), engineering, medicine, law, and other fields.USF s physics and astronomy department provides a thorough foundation in classical and modern physics, theory, experimentation, and computation. Our major and minor curricula in physics, astronomy, and astrophysics focus on preparation within the physical sciences, as well as an astronomy minor for non-science majors. USF Physics, additionally, provides the basis for students interested in a 3+2 physics & engineering dual undergraduate degree program, in conjunction with the University of Southern California.
