4 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

SUNY Cortland

Program Overview

The Action Anthropology concentration is designed to prepare students for careers in a wide range of fields. Our anthropological education provides advantages and insights into culturally informed ways to address community problems. As opposed to approaching social problems from the outside with ready-made solutions, an action anthropology approach requires first-hand study and involvement in communities to work with people, so that together problems can be diagnosed, analyzed and addressed through a plan of action. Our faculty are committed to helping students develop internship and job opportunities
