Program Overview

The Elmira College undergraduate program in Communication Sciences and Disorders provides students with two routes to the B.S. degree. The non-teaching major, Speech and Hearing (SPH), prepares students for entry into graduate programs in Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology. The Speech and Language Disabilities (SLD) major leads to the New York State initial teaching certificate in Speech and Language Disabilities. Both options provide students with a sound basis for continued study and ultimately for licensure and/or certification by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

A completed application , Official transcripts of completed coursework in secondary schools or at the university level, At least one letter of recommendation from an instructor or an academic counselor, Minimum desired score is at least an 80 on the TOEFL Internet Based Test or 6 on the IELTS exam or a PTE Score of 60.
