Gordon College

Program Overview

Speech-language pathologists (SLPs) and audiologists come alongside children and adults struggling with speech, language, cognitive, hearing or swallowing disorders. As you go about the work of preventing, assessing, diagnosing and treating such disorders, listening and communication skills will be paramount in your role. By drawing from both the arts and sciences, Gordon's faith-based interdisciplinary approach to communication sciences and disorders (CSD) will not only build your foundational knowledge but prepare you to minister well to the communicative needs of people of all ages.Through Gordon's CSD major or minor, you will gain the knowledge, skills and experience to succeed in the field while benefitting from the breadth of a liberal arts education rooted in faith. The liberal arts are about understanding "humanness," and what you learn through a broad range of courses will prove essential for your success in caring for people as a speech-language pathologist or audiologist or in a related field.
