Program Overview

Students may pursue a general major in Communication Studies or select one of three special options: Organizational Communication, Communication and Human Relationships, or Rhetoric and Public Discourse. Each of these special options provides additional background important to particular careers. We also have an excellent faculty. All of our full time faculty members have Ph.D.s. They all conduct research and publish articles on communication but everyone teaches undergraduate courses and advises undergraduate students. The student teaching evaluations of the instructors in our department are as strong as you'll see anywhere. In fact, we consistently have among the best teacher evaluations on campus,

Additional Information & Requirements

High school transcript be sent upon graduation which must include your date of graduation and final GPA., Earn at least a 2.5 high school GPA; or. Rank in the top half of the school's graduating class; or. Earn an ACT composite score of 22 or higher, or SAT total score of 1120 or higher (exception: MSU Northern: ACT score of 20, SAT score of 1050).The TOEFL, IELTS or MELAB are also required of international applicants who are not graduates of an English-speaking university.
