Admission to the Economics major involves two steps. Students who apply to the major are initially classified as Pre-economics. After completing the lower-division core requirements with a C (2.0) or better, students may apply to the Economics major. Pre-economics students may take lower-division business and economics courses, but most upper-division courses are not open to Pre-economics students.
Official transcripts from previously attended school/college, Min GPA 3.O, English Language Proficiency tests TOEF( Pbt 500, Cbt 173). US universities use a holistic admissions review. Beyond grades and standardized test scores, they weigh the strength of your overall profile to understand who you are as a student and a person.
Profile Assessment: Applicants are generally assessed on their preparation in English, social sciences, research and quantitative reasoning. Statistics may be particularly helpful for Psychology, Education Research, Public Policy and other research-based programs.
