Economics gives you the tools to analyze events and predict the future based on historical trends. They study decision-making, both on an individual and global scale. When broadly applied, economics can impact everyday life and how we organize, plan and manage our lives.Economics is foundational to a number of career paths. Let the Offutt School of Business help you decide which one to take. As an economics major, you'll learn to pay attention to world events and their likely impact on everyday choices and decisions. There's plenty of hands-on learning as well. Each summer, students can participate in an undergraduate research program in experimental economics.You'll study how global markets function, how financial institutions work and adapt based on a variety of impacts, and the principles of cost of living. Plus, you'll learn business basics, like accounting and finance, to help solidify your educational foundation.
