Western Washington University

Program Overview

Economics studies the allocation of scarce resources over competing and alternative uses. Students interested in social and political issues such as income inequality, economic development, sustainable resources use, globalization or the implications of free trade, should consider a major in Economics and its related fields. The Department of Economics gives students rigorous training in both economic theory and its applications, offering the opportunity to focus in economics or to combine it with a number of complementary subjects. The International Year program will provide you with the solid foundation you need to be successful in your university degree.
