Program Overview

Students in St. Scholastica's women's and gender studies will learn about women's history, art and literature in a broad global context viewed through a multicultural lens. The program's goal is to encourage critical thinking about women, sexuality and gender and how they relate to current issues and events.Through an interdisciplinary approach built on a liberal arts foundation, students will learn to think beyond traditional gender roles and gain a new perspective. Courses include African American History, Feminism and Globalization, the Psychology of Gender, and more.
