Geography at SSU focuses on nature-society interactions and on the analytical techniques and computer mapping technologies used to study those issues. It blends environmental and human geography, preparing students to research and solve problems around people's interaction with the environment. As a major in Geography at Sonoma State, you will take a wide range of classes in both the natural and social sciences in state-of-the-art classrooms and labs. Many classes include field trips and field projects to enhance the classroom experience.
