Program Overview

Along with broad training in political science, students focus on one of the four subfield areas of concentration: U.S. national politics, political theory, international relations, or comparative politics. Majors also have numerous opportunities for off-campus study, including internships appropriate to their interests and qualifications. Programs take Wooster students to Washington, D.C., or to other urban centers around the U.S., and abroad to Latin America, Africa, Asia, or Europe. All students at The College of Wooster complete an independent study project under the guidance of a faculty mentor.

Common Application or Coalition Application, Official Transcript, Secondary School Report, Teacher Evaluation, Scores from one of the following standardized tests are preferred by the Admissions Committee: ACT, SAT, minimum recommended score for TOEFL or equivalent is 80 to be considered, IELTS score is below 7, PTE Academic, or Duolingo, alternative preferred tests:IB predicted grades, Three AP exam scores at least one score must be from AP English Language or Literature, Three A-level predicted grades, WAEC results, Board Exams in India, Pakistan, or Bangladesh, Korean College Entrance Exam
