This option will appeal to students interested in international affairs, globalization and global conflict and security. Students learn about the democratic and authoritarian political systems of different countries and about the role of governments and non-governmental organizations in addressing challenges that transcend national boundaries, such as terrorism, armed conflict, human rights violations, refugee crises, global poverty, sustainable development and climate change. The option prepares students to solve these complec problems through a career in government, international organizations, diplomacy, intelligence, global development, global security, public advocacy, non-profit organizations and education.
