You’re already a critical thinker, but get ready to dig deeper. Our program provides an introduction to basic psychological theories in diversity, human development, thought and behavior. Engage in classroom discussion and hands-on experiences to understand individual differences and discover your path in this exciting discipline. As a psychology major, you’ll observe human behavior from critical perspectives: sociocultural influences to psychological disorders. Our exciting curriculum emphasizes skills in research and data analysis and exposes you to a knowledge base in human development, social psychology, psychopathology, cognition, personality and group processes to help you define your own focuses and interests. As a student, you will:

  • Explore psychology through a liberal arts lens, integrating your studies with other disciplines like philosophy, religion, sociology, biology and criminal justice
  • Learn to present and write compelling discourse on critical subjects
  • Examine how ethics relate to psychological research and practice
  • Learn the history of psychology
  • Understand the use of statistics, methodology, research design and psychometrics
