The Social Studies Education Major is designed for students who are interested in teaching social studies at the 7-12 grade level. This interdisciplinary education major has students taking courses across the university including: history, sociology, political science, international studies, anthropology, economics,and psychology in order to prepare students to teach a wide-range of topics and subjects in the 7-12 setting. Upon completion of this degree students will have earned a Bachelors in Arts and a license to teach from the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
