This discipline combines the scientific and humanistic perspectives in its investigation of urban and rural life, family patterns and relationships, religion, culture, intergroup relations, social class and prestige, criminology and deviance, mass media and communication and social problems. The course enables students to demonstrate conceptual and theoretical skills to sociological/anthropological topics and questions.

The BA Degree in Sociology focuses on how and why people are organized in society, separately as individuals as well as together as members of professional organizations, groups, or voluntary associations. You will gain the ability to demonstrate knowledge of basic sociological concepts, apply major sociological theoretical perspectives and analyze critical issues.
