BFA in Ceramics

Since its earliest days, craft traditions and media have been an intrinsic part of the Tyler curriculum, aesthetic, and vibe. The intertwined areas of ceramics and glass reflect this history, and continue to build on it by attracting students who are interested in challenging the definitions of these art forms. This program makes a point of drawing on the energy and resources of the city as well. Students attend lectures and exhibitions at museums, galleries and other cultural institutions all over town, and participate in community art projects in the ongoing collaboration with Philadelphia s Mural Arts Project.
