Along with a wide variety of courses to choose from, you will have opportunities on campus to exhibit your work.With NYC just 20 miles away, you will have easy access to a world of cultural and artistic experiences that will enhance your education and your appreciation for art.You will expand your knowledge and creative experience through the study of art appreciation, drawing and painting, sculpture, digital photography, and other areas of visual arts.You will develop an awareness of design, composition, techniques and elements of visual arts, and an understanding of ethical and moral meanings in art.

A 3.0 GPA prior to admission.Satisfactory GRE scores.A brief, typewritten autobiography, speaking to the candidate's family background, educational background, work experiences and the reasons for choosing teaching as a profession.An interview with a member of the education department.A program plan of study signed by the adviser, and, in the case of adolescence or secondary education programs, also signed by the chair of the subject area department.Sign a Dispositional Commitment Form.
