BFA Art and Visual Arts

Study art in the middle of the cultural mecca that is New York and Philadelphia, You ll learn from a faculty of renowned artists and designers, have easy access to prestigious museums and galleries, and benefit from artists and critics that regularly visit us to share their expertise with you. At Mason Gross School of the Arts creation and critical analysis go hand-in-hand. Studio classes and seminar discussions confront you with materials, techniques, visual languages, and cultural issues. You will experiment across the disciplines of design, drawing, media, painting, photography, print, and sculpture. You ll declare a concentration at the end of your sophomore year and then work within your major during the next three years, including your senior thesis. Your fourth year culminates with a B.F.A. Thesis Exhibition in the Mason Gross Galleries at Civic Square.
