Program Overview

The University of Osnabr ck offers a three-year training course to become a psychological psychotherapist with a focus on behavioral therapy for adults. One of the prerequisites is several years of further training in a scientifically recognized form of therapy. The training is chargeable.The continuing education course is characterized by a particularly close dovetailing of theory and practice. The practical experience gained in the job and in the course of study is continuously scientifically reflected. The practical therapeutic activity forms the most extensive part of the postgraduate course in psychotherapy. Among other things, the participants work in a psychiatric clinic and carry out outpatient therapies under close supervision in the polyclinic psychotherapy outpatient clinic for adults in the advanced stage of further training. The training enables the license to practice medicine.

Additional Information & Requirements

Requirements are a diploma in psychology (or comparable qualification) with an examination in clinical psychology. Degrees obtained at foreign universities must be checked to see whether they meet the requirements.
