PGCE Secondary Drama with QTS

The Faculty of Education has a longstanding national reputation for providing high-calibre initial teacher training with over 20 Secondary specialisms available. We have a well established partnership with over 800 secondary schools and colleges across the North West region and beyond. PGCE Drama aims to develop an understanding of the place of drama in secondary education and to provide a firm foundation from which to teach this exciting subject. Philosophically, the course is based upon an inclusive view of the drama curriculum which reflects the wide range of contexts which the subject operates within schools and colleges. An innovative and highly successful feature of our course is the drama 'carousel' where groups visit different schools to observe several specially selected, highly skilled and experienced practitioners at work.
